Life Story for Trixie "Trix" Fortin

Trixie Fortin 15 years old, beloved chihuahua/Yorkshire terrier mix of Riana Fortin, crossed over the rainbow bridge November 2nd 2018. She leaves behind her parent Riana, her human siblings Momma, Guy, Grampa, Gramma, Uncle J, Uncle Jarrett, Uncle Jevin, and Rosco as well as her pet siblings Paisley, Snow Cat and Autumn.

Trixie was born February 12th 2003 and was adopted on July 13th 2003 from the Providence Animal Shelter and has many nicknames including Trix, Tricker, C.C., Toofina, Deedra Hall, Erny, Trickabee, Arny, Arny Palmer, Arny Baby and Princess Beautiful.

Some of Trixie’s favorite things to do would be to sleep, go for buh bye rides, taking walks in the woods, chasing the geese, rat hunting, digging in her bed, going for bike rides in her basket, dancing with Momma, Momma singing silly songs to her, drying off after a bath, running through the fields, going for walks in the baby buggy, getting treats from grampa, doing “bear” to her uncles, pulling all of the clothes out of Mommas closet to make a bed, hiding chewies around the house, calling Guy a weiner, lying next to her Momma and cuddling with Paisley and Pandy. However she disliked the geese, getting a bath, going to the vet, sharing her car window with Rosco, wrapping paper tubes, going swimming, getting dressed up, Momma leaving for work, thunder and lightning, medicine time and Paisley stealing her beds.

Some of Trixie’s favorite places to sleep would be right beside her Momma, the back window of the car, the fireplace hearth, the kitchen floor, or in one of her many, many beds. Some of Trixie’s favorite foods are chicken, carrots, vanilla ice cream, chicken nuggets and chewies.

Some of her families fondest memories would be seeing you for the first time at the animal shelter. Getting the phone call confirming you were coming home to be my puppy. Camping at Bowdish Lake when you were only a puppy. Camping again with Guy. Coming home every day after work and singing silly songs as you would run laps around the house. Watching you chase Joe the goat through the backyard. Rat hunting in the barn and seeing you get so determined to find some. Going for car rides with your head out the window taking in every smell. Dancing around the house together. Finding chewies buried in my clothes. Watching you dig and kick in your blankets The time I found 10 chewies hidden in the corners of your bed. Waking up every morning to your little face Grampa running laps around the yard with you. Bringing you to work with me. Telling you to “bite that guy” every time we drove by someone on the street. Watching you and Paisley share tiny beds together. Having a genuine, loyal, loving and amazing best friend and confidant for 15 years. I cannot even begin to list all my favorite memories with you. Thank you for so many amazing memories and showing me what unconditional love really is. I love you and miss you forever Trix.
