Obituary for Hailey Smiley

Hailey Smiley, a simply loveable beagle, was born on April 15, 2007, adopted by Mark and Andrea Smiley on August 20, 2011, and passed away peacefully on Sunday October 7, 2018 after a brief unexpected illness.

She had big brown soulful eyes. She loved any food that fell in her path, as she was not a very fussy eater. She loved watching over the ‘babies’ at doggie daycare; people watching from the car window, playing fetch with her human parents, and simply just snuggling in. Hailey was simply a perfect dog! To her, anyone who visited was a long lost friend she had not seen in a while. (Many of you can attest to that) She never barked (ok, she barked just once in 7 years) or growled at anyone. Every once in a while, she let her nose lead her outside our cul de sac, but she always got home safe (with Mark and I gaining a few more grey hairs). I remember the first time she got lost, she knew she was lost and found an open garage with a nice couple in it and looked at them with her big brown eyes to tell them she was lost.

She will be missed by her parents, fur brother Buddy, her many Facebook ‘followers’ and all her friends at All Paws Inn/Sweet Berry’s Doggie Day Camp.
